Hurricane Katrina
(Keywords: Storm, Damage - Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama)
The greatest, initial fear was that Katrina would hit New Orleans with
the full force of a Category 5 Hurricane. But saying "it could have
been worse" is little comfort to those who's lives have been affected
by this devastation.
The western eye wall of Katrina passed east of New Orleans, tracking north to the Louisiana boarder. Eastern Louisiana, Southern Mississippi , and South Alabama received the brunt of the storm.
