Adventure Travel Tip
Take a canoe or kayak out to Huffine Island. Its a protected nesting area for birds. Word of caution: There's something in the waters of Watt Bar around the island. It floats near the surface until you paddle near. Then, it submerges explosively like a depth charge, scaring the fool out of you. This first time I experience this, I nearly surrendered the entire contents of my boat to the creature. I highly recommend you avoid catastrophe by putting your stuff in a Dry Bag or a Dry Box.*

I attended a wedding some time ago at Whitestone. However, I almost missed the ceremony because I was out having too much fun exploring the surrounding wilderness area.
