Mount Diablo
Featuring:
North Peak Trail from Devils Elbow to Prospectors Gap
Around
the San Francisco Bay area, Mount Diablo is one of those peaks you keep
seeing out of the corner of your eye, taunting you to come closer and take
it on. The drive to the top is an adventure in itself. Better yet do some
climbing on Diablo with a bike.
There are many trails on Mount Diablo, some for riding, some for hiking only. Stay oriented with this GPS map of the area.
Click
on the binoculars to see a screen shot of Google Earth displaying this
GPS map of the route circumnavigating the summit of Mount Diablo.
Adventure Travel Tip: Due to the high fire danger during the hot and dry season, call the park (925) 837-2525 to learn of possible restrictions and road/trail closures.
