Adirondack North Country
Featuring:
Northern Forest Canoe Trail
The
Northern Forest Canoe Trail is the longest inland recreational water
trail in the Northeast. From New York, to Vermont, to New Hampshire,
to Maine, and even briefly into Canada, the trail stretches over 740
miles., following the route oused by Native Americans and early European
settlers.
The NFCT in New York has some of the most challanging waters, including
small waterfalls and Class III and IV rapids in the Saranac River.
When you reach the placid waters of Lake Champlain, you will be ready
for some slack time.
