Historic Route 66
Take
a detour down memory lane on Route 66. It's been immortalized in films,
songs, books, and - now - in GPS Maps. There are several great segments
of the original route John Steinbeck called "the Mother Road,"
and in-between there's always the interstate. The path to adventure
traveled by Tod and Buz in their red Corvette on the namesake 1960's TV
series still exists - you just might need a little help finding it with
your GPS.

More Info
I origionally authored this GPS map in DeLorme Transfer (.dmt) File format. The (.dmt) format is native to DeLorme's Street Atals software, which is an excellent car navigation program for lap top/mobile PC computers. If you have Street Atlas click here to download the free file in (.dmt) format. The (.dmt) file includes 10 individual routes for each of the eight states, alternate routes for going around St. Louis and through Santa Fe, plus 8 draw files which contain MapNotes identifying points of interest in each state.
The table below list the distances and travel time as calculated by by the Street Atlas program.
