Monterey's 17-Mile Drive

Featuring:
Pebble Beach and the Del Monte Forest

Scenic Drive Monterey California SightseeingAlong this popular self-drive tour, you will pass through vast stands of pine and groves of cypress trees, skirt along coastlines of pure white sand and treacherous rocks, and encounter flora and fauna found in few other places.  The Del Monte Forest is home to several species of endangered plants and Grey Whales can be seen migrating off shore.  There is no place like it on Earth.

The points of interest along the drive are described here and listed in sequence as you begin the drive from the Highway 1 Gate (see driving "Directions" below). Download the tour to your GPS. Then as you drive, your GPS will indicate your approach to each point of interest.
