"Hoosier Home"
Placed: 23 June 2001
Background:
Update: 22 June 2002 - With many thanks to Indy Diver, Hoosier Home was restored after critters or creatures had ruined the contents and lost the lid of the container. Now, the cache should be a little more secure in an Ammo Box.
This is one of my most favorite caches because it is located near where I grew up. We would come to this location to "fish" in the nearby creek by beating carp over the head with baseball bats (our mother made us eat everything we killed, so this was short-lived activity). At the spillway, we'd slide down the cement, using cardboard boxes like toboggans until we wore holes clean through our jeans. I'm certain you will experience the same excitement seeking this cache as I did when I came here to play as a boy.
Description:
Ammo Box.
Degree of Difficulty: (3)
It is a 3 and then some if you try to drive and hike, but it's real easy if you have a boat.
Obligatory List of Potential Dangers
Dangers include: wildlife encounters, heat exhaustion, skin irritating and abrasive plants, falling out of your boat, or worse - getting too close to the spillway after a good rain. Attempting to cross the spillway on foot with even the slightest flow can be treacherous because of the algae that builds up on the rocks and concrete.

Hint
The stash is located in rubble that remains from the construction projects that turned Bean Blossom Creek into what is now called Lake Lemon.
